Pedret Bridge (near Berga)

This Gothic bridge crossing the Llobregat is documented from 1286 and made of irregular, unpolished stone. Although it originally had 5 arches, it now only has 4 arches of different dimensions.

Near the bridge is a series of round holes dug into the live rock, which correspond to the sockets for the wooden beams that support a Roman bridge.

It is an interesting example of Gothic bridge, which once facilitated communication between the town of Berga and the Church of Sant Quirze de Pedret with the area of Sant Miquel de les Canals and Puigarbessós.

Location: Near Berga.
