The Arc de Triomf (Triumphal Arch) is a monument designed by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas, which served as the entrance to the site of the first Universal Exhibition (1888) held at Ciutadella Park.
The brick structure, in Neo-Mudéjar style, is 30 metres high and decorated with sculptures and tiles. Unlike most arches, this is not a triumphal arch of military glory but was built as a tribute to artistic, scientific, and economic progress.
